Eva Shepherd writes sensual historical romance novels featuring rakish heroes and daring heroines who defy convention to follow their heart.

After graduating with degrees in history and political science, Eva worked in journalism and as an advertising copy writer. Her life changed when she was offered a publishing deal with Harlequin Mills & Boon in 2019. This provided her with the exciting opportunity to combine her two favourite things, history and romance.

Eva lives almost at the bottom of the world, in Christchurch, (Otautahi) New Zealand, (Aotearoa) but spends much of her time immersed in the world of Victorian England, with its opulent stately homes, grand ballrooms and sweeping landscapes.

When not at her writing desk, she can often be found at one of the beautiful beaches along Christchurch’s coastline, exploring nature trails in the great outdoors, busy in the garden, or hanging out in a cafe and enjoying a chai latte and whatever delicious treats are on offer.
